This program was created for individual training with minimal involvement of lifting accessories not commonly found in normal gyms (chains, bands, kettlebells, etc.).

This 12-Week Pre-Season Training Program is specifically designed for wrestling to build strength and endurance, power combined with balance, as well as speed and agility to move in any direction. This program was created for individual training with minimal involvement of lifting accessories not commonly found in normal gyms (chains, bands, kettlebells, etc.).

Included is:

  • 12 Week Strength Training Program

  • Weekly Conditioning and Speed/Plyometrics Schedule

  • Daily Warm-Up/Injury Prevention

  • Tracking Sheets for all necessary movements to record reps, weight, and keep track of your progress

Each of the twelve weeks leads you through unique stages of the pre-season training process.

  • Week 1: Testing - Introduces you into the program and provides a baseline for the next eleven weeks

  • Weeks 2-5: Acclimation - Acclimates your body with varying strength training methods to form a foundation necessary for effective preparation

  • Week 6: Testing - The second of three testing weeks and gives an opportunity to measure your progress

  • Weeks 7-10: Strength & Endurance - Builds wrestling-focused strength and endurance by adding volume and incorporating drop sets

  • Week 11: De-Load - Decreases the work volume in preparation for final testing

  • Week 12: Final Testing - See how far you’ve come and get ready for competition!
