The Easiest Way to Set Yourself Up for Success

We live in a society where we are always searching for an easier way to do things, right? So what about being successful? What can we do that is easy to help us be more successful?

The answer is something you do every morning without even thinking about it. IT’S TYING YOUR SHOES. Wait...did Mason just say tying my shoes will help me succeed?? Yes, yes I did.

If you’re one of those people that leaves your shoes tied 24/7 so that you can just slip them on-and-off whenever, let me tell you something... you’re missing out on a HUGE opportunity to set yourself up for success.

Think about this. When a football player in the super bowl laces up his shoes before going out on the field, what’s going through his head? He’s thinking about what he’s going to do during the game, how he’s going to do it, and he’s putting himself in a mindset to go dominate his competition. In that 60 seconds he’s tying his shoes, he is preparing himself for the battle to come. If he doesn’t do this, he risks losing the game simply because he was not mentally prepared.

Make no mistake, there are ways we can grow in almost everything in life, including how we tie our shoes. Every morning when we put our shoes on, it is an opportunity to set ourselves up for success throughout the day. It’s an opportunity to ready ourselves for the battles ahead, remind ourselves of our goals, and put ourselves in the right mindset to win.

Think about this the next time you put your shoes on, and give yourself an opportunity to make the most out of the day!
